JEMIMA - SEACAR

Lasting Impact

Built in 1928 by Brooke Marine of Lowestoft and named after John Brooke’s granddaughter, Jemima was fully restored by Cox’s between 2009-13 and then used lightly on the River Cam for four years. She is now back at Cox’s and has been revarnished, antifouled, and equipped with new batteries and Victron battery charger. She will have a new BSS Certificate on sale. The electric motor and control electronics were supplied by Rupert Latham and installed by Cox’s. Cruising range is 6-8 hours at 4-6 knots with 2.5kw motor fed by eight 6v batteries. She is built of mahogany on oak with ash decking, comes with an overall cover made by Jeckells, storage trailer, and has always been stored over winter in a wet or dry shed. She is in perfect condition and ready for the summer season. The propulsion system requires essentially no maintenance and the overall cover fully protects the varnished deck and hull.
The Seacar was Brooke Marine’s answer to the Chris Craft runabouts popular on the Great Lakes. Jemima is 17ft long and has about a 5ft 6″ beam and 2ft draft. She comfortably seats six, and is fitted with chromed cleats and fairleads, ensign socket, Brooke roundels, mats, navigation lights, etc all remanufactured using the original castings by John Brooke, the great grandson of the builder. The bomb bay doors to the engine room are trimmed with chrome as is the splash screen.

OCEAN PIRATE

Yachting BrokersYachting Brokers are pleased to offer for sale a unique and classic motor yacht in fully restored condition. ‘Pirate’ is an exceptional boat with a fine pedigree.
Built by Brooke Marine of Lowestoft (who went on to build the Virgin Atlantic Challenger) in 1974 she was Brooke Marine's the third to last Ocean Pirate 40 built.
Originally fitted with Cummins V8 engines she was used as a demonstration and trials support boat by Brooke Marine until being sold in 1986.
The current owner commissioned a major refit of ‘Pirate’ by Falmouth Boat Co and with that often used phrase holding true, ‘with no expense spared.’ It was decided to retain Cummins power and she is now equipped with twin 480hp units that whisk her effortlessly along at 36 knots plus.
The addition of a flybridge and bow thruster makes handling in port a pleasure. The interior has been completely refitted while retaining much of the original features though she is now equipped with the latest navigation and entertainment systems. In 2018 she completed her extensive refit with a bare metal strip of the hull and re-spray of hull, topsides and superstructure.
We are pleased to include with ‘Pirate’ an original advertisement for the 1969 San Francisco boat show, a scan of the original Ocean Pirate brochure and the build list of all the Ocean Pirates.
Appointments to view can be booked in advance 6-days a week directly with Paul Singer of Yachting Brokers. Yachting Brokers are yacht brokers and consultants providing a full service brokerage across the UK and the South West UK. GUILLEMOT

http://www.sandemanyachtcompany.co.uk/yacht/369/brooke-and-co-34-ft-ts-motor-yacht-1924

GUILLEMOT is a labour of love – her last two owners have carefully brought her back to life substantially restoring her to a high level of thorough and painstaking workmanship, combined with great attention to detail and use of the best possible materials. The end result is a stunning vessel above and below the waterline, inside and out. Modern comforts and equipment have been incorporated into the traditional accommodation without spoiling her unique ambience. Most recently she has had new additions including her deck replaced, new caulking done in the traditional way, bright work re-varnished, engines fully serviced, new life raft, tender and bathing platform.

This vessel was renamed KATHLEEN for a period following one phase of restoration by a former owner. Her current owner recently renamed her as she was originally; GUILLEMOT.
